About

Hi I’m Hayley. I’m married to the love of my life and therefore a military wife by default. Mama to my sweet little boy and three little girls who are the light of my life. So, I thought I would start this off by telling you why I wanted to become a midwife and what it means to me.

I have a passion for mamas, birth, and babies. When I was little I use to say “I want to deliver babies.” Fast forward years down the road & that’s exactly what I’m doing, a practicing home birth midwife. However, if you were to truly ask me what I do, I would say I hold and take care of moms.  My journey into midwifery started out a little unconventional but I can honestly say it has been my true passion in life. My career started as a speech pathologist and for years we were actually told we could not have kids. I then got pregnant with our first son after my husbands' deployment. We ended up switching to a homebirth at 35 weeks pregnant and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I felt empowered and equipped to make decisions for me and my baby. I felt prepared for what could and might happen. But most of all I felt educated & that changed everything for me and most importantly, I trusted my midwife. She cared and supported me exactly in the way I needed. I want that for every woman. I want them to know their options I want to support them and their choices. I want them to feel empowered and loved. So, I became a doula shortly after my first birth and loved it so much but felt like my soul was wanting more. I applied to MCU (Midwives college of Utah) to get my bachelors in Midwifery. I have been in all birth settings, situations, and scenarios but home is where my heart has landed. I believe in the power of comfort and letting a mom follow her instincts. I believe in open communication and trust in a birth space.  Most importantly, I believe in you.

So that’s why I’m here. To support, educate, and empower you as a woman and a mama during your birth. To help you feel safe and informed in all your choices. As well as support you during your birth. Because you, mama, are worth it. Choosing a midwife is up to you and it’s a decision you should make with your heart. Every person has the right midwife for them and if that’s me, then I am deeply honored to be invited into your birth space.
